Nation's Restaurant News, April 13, 1992
MINNEAPOLIS -- Country Kitchen is preparing to launch its traditional Southern Skillet breakfast promotion and the 250-unit family-restaurant chain plans to augment the annual campaign with a full range of advertising support including television, radio, print and in-store tablecards.
Available from April 20 through June 15, the Southern Skillet entree includes two sausage patties, two buttermilk biscuits, a side order of sausage gravy and two eggs cooked to order. Depending on the market, Southern Skillet prices range from $3.95 to $4.25.
Media support for Southern Skillet consists of a pair of radio commercials that parody famous Shakespearean lines delivered with a heavy southern twang, two television spots, a free-standing newspaper insert and store-level collaterals.
