MIAMI -- In an effort to capitalize on it signiture brand sandwich and 40th anniversary, Burger King has grouped together a new Whopper line that includes a Whopper Jr. that is more than 50 percent larger than a Double Whopper as a permanent menu item.
Growing from a 1.8- to a 2.8-ounce burger, Whopper Jr. is showcased as part of the line that features the tag "a Whopper for every size appetite." The strategy steers clear of advertised price points, aiming to build the Whopper brand instead.
