Nation's Restaurant News, June 15, 1992

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - For the second time this year, Domino's Pizza chairman and president Tom Monaghan has trimmed field operations at the 5,000-unit pizza delivery chain by consolidating eight regional offices into five and streamlining several field responsibilities.

The reorganization will fold the two existing California regions into one move the Florida regional office to Atlanta and consolidate the Baltimore region with the Northeastern region.

In addition, Domino's reported that 17 headquarters positions would be eliminated. But the changes will also create eight to 10 new positions in the franchise services area.

The company said the changes are part of an ongoing effort to get field managers out of the office and into both company and franchised stores.

Two months ago Domino's announced other field operation changes that cut the company's number of regions to eight from 10.
