ST. LOUIS - Pasta House Co. and Investors Management Corp., parent company of Golden Corral Family Steak House, have teamed up to open Zia Mia, an Italian dinner house, in Bethesda, Md.
Zia Mia is essentially the same as a Pasta House, according to John Ferrara, Pasta House president. The concept offers large portions of Italian staples for moderate prices. Checks average $15 for dinner and $7 for lunch. He projected first-year sales of $2 million at the pilot 200-seat unit.

Ferrara said the partners have plans to expand the concept. Investors Management also is operating two other Italian concepts - GiLuigi's and Rogazzi's.
