NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken, a division of Shoney's Inc., has finalized an agreement with Truck-stops of America to open a Lee's unit at a shuttered truckstop here.
The new Lee's, located at 11 North First, just off highway I-65, opened in a former Burger King unit -- which the TA and Burger King jointly decided to close in 1989. The remodeled 2,500 square-foot Lee's unit features 60 seats and a drive-thru window.

A spokesman for Cleveland-based TA, a subsidiary of BP Oil, noted that the company is considering featuring Lee's at new locations in the future, particularly in the Midwest and Southeast.
