Levy opening Italian in Sears Tower

Nation's Restaurant News, August 2, 1993

CHICAGO -- The Levy Restaurants' newest venture is Mia Torre, "my tower," in Sears Tower, where Levy has long operated a variety of restaurants.

Mia Torre, a 180-seat, full-restaurant, features traditional dishes of Italy with an American twist. Decor is inspired by the Palio, a 350-year-old celebration in Siena, Italy, which revolves around a 90-second horse race around the town's ancient plaza and clock tower.

House specialties include thin-crust pizzas, contemporary pastas, rotisserie items and the signature dessert, a tower of meringue filled with white chocolate mousse drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce.

Twelve wines by the glass and 20 bottled wines are offered from Italy's wine-producing regions.
