Chase Capital buys Wendy's franchisee

Nation's Restaurant News, August 28, 1995

NEW YORK -- Chase Capital, a private equity-investment arm of Chase Manhattan Corp., acquired Southern California Food Services Holding Corp., a 64-unit Wendy's franchisee.

Financial terms were not disclosed but sources close to the deal placed the acquisition at about $30 million.

SCFS operates its Wendy's units through subsidiaries in Knoxville, Tenn., and in San Diego and Ventura, Calif.
