SAN FRANCISCO -- The Round Table Owners Association, representing 60 percent of Round Table Pizza franchisees, filed suit against parent Round Table Franchise Corp., alleging that the company is not offering "commercially reasonable" franchise renewal contracts and that it is misappropriating ad funds.

An investigation by the franchisee group found that the funds were used to pay salaries of corporate employees in other departments franchisees said. An RTFC spokesman said the company is preparing a response to the suit.
