Pepsi unveils new logo, package design

Nation's Restaurant News, Oct 7, 1991

SOMERS, N.Y.--For the first time since 1973, Pepsi-Cola has unveiled a new product logo, which is slated to appear on its Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and caffeine-free Pepsi products.

In addition, the new graphics, which feature a modern italic typeface and a more streamlined version of the Pepsi red, white and blue "swirl," will also be incorporated into all company communications and packaging.

According to Pepsi-Cola, the new graphics will make their debut in a Providence, R.I., market. The soft-drink titan says it expects the design to reach international markets by 1992.
