New suburban Detroit restaurants bank on patrons' prosperity

Recent entrees included roasted Chilean sea bass with Japanese buckwheat noodles flavored with plum wine, ginger and tamari; seared duck breast with sun-dried cherries and Grand Marnier glaze; and grilled baby lamb chops with cognac mustard sauce.

Dinner checks average $30. To encourage more wine sales, the menu suggests a specific wine with each entre.

A new fine-dining restaurant with a Continental menu, Fleetwood, recently opened in downtown. Owners Ron Sarcevich and Keith Wadle, who operate the Cadillac Cafe in Farmington Hills, remodeled the former Daniel's restaurant.
