Van den Bergh dedicates tech center

STOCKTON, Calif. - Van den Bergh Foods, a foodservice manufacturing unit of global-food-products concern Unilever, dedicated a Tomato Innovation and Technology Center here.

The center will serve as Unilever's research facility focus on tomatoes. It will field a staff of 30, including molecular biologist plant breeders, chemical engineers, food scientists and chemists.
