Nation's Restaurant News, Nov 22, 1993

MIAMI -- Burger King expects to move about 6.6 million watches through its tie-in with the animated Disney release "Nightmare Before Christmas" that pushes the chain's new Everyday Value Menu.

The promotion features four ghoulish watches priced at $1.99 and is supported through television spots that spoof the classic Christmas, "A Visit from St.Nicholas" aka: 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.

The tie-in runs through Dec. 5. The Tim Burton film, which boasted top ticket sales for weeks just after its release, is expected to play well through the holidays.
