Roaring Fork opens in Dallas

Nation's Restaurant News, Nov 27, 1995

DALLAS - Phil and Janet Cobb, owners of Mi Piaci and Natura Grill here, have opened a new concept, The Roaring Fork, an American grill, in North Dallas.

The 144-seat restaurant features a raw bar with such items as Malpeque oysters and stone crabs. The chef is Lance Youngs, and the executive sous chef is Walt Hathaway, formerly of Kuleto's in San Francisco.

Dinner entrees, which range from $13.95 to $27, include duck cigars - braised duck seasoned with jalapenos and cilantro and rolled in a wonton with jicama and melon relish - and mustard-glazed double thick pork chops served with Maytag blue cheese grits.

The restaurant also features lounge entertainment.
