Comisar returns to Maisonette

Nation's Restaurant News, Nov 27, 1995

CINCINNATI - Michael E. Comisar, the former president and managing partner of the Maisonette for 20 years, has returned to the fine-dining establishment as managing partner along with his cousin, Nat Comisar.

Marc Comisar, who has served as a managing partner at the Mobil five-star restaurant for the past 10 years, is leaving to pursue other business.

"Throughout our 46-year history, there has always been a member of the Comisar family managing the restaurant," Nat Comisar said. "The players may change, but our commitment to keeping this one of the most prized and prestigious restaurants in the world continues."

In returning, Michael Comisar is vacating his position as vice president of sales of the wine division of Ohio Valley Wine & Beer Co.

Nat Comisar said Jean-Robert de Cavel is still in charge of the kitchen.

The Maisonette is also a member of Nation's Restaurant News Fine Dining Hall of Fame.
