FRANKLIN PARK, Ill. - Dean Foods Co. said it has completed the acquisition of Merico's dairy and oil-based business.
Terms were not disclosed.
The purchase includes the Rod's Food Products operation in City of Industry, Calif., and the Royal Food Products operation in Indianapolis.
Rod's and Royal produce a diverse range of dressings, dessert toppings, creamers and dips under the Rod's, Imo, Slender Choice, Chivo and Merico brand names.
