NEW YORK - Menu prices at the nation's restaurants will rise 2 percent to 3 percent in the coming year, according to the 1997 Trends and Forecasts for the Business Travel Industry, conducted by financial-services conglomerate American Express.
The study also projected 1997 foodservice sales of $315.7 billion, a 5-percent rise from the prior-year figure.

The study also revealed that 6 percent of the companies participating in it have corporate meal-discount programs with area restaurants, a 2-percent rise since 1994.
