Domino's names agency-review finalists

Nation's Restaurant News, Feb 24, 1997

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Domino's Pizza has narrowed the search for its new agency of record to replace Grey Advertising, the agency it recently shelved.

According to company spokesman Tim McIntyre, the four finalists are McCann-Erickson, New York; Campbell Mithun Esty, Minneapolis; Fallon McElligott, Minneapolis; and Temerlin McClain Dallas.

All four agencies are submitting proposals to handle the pizza company's creative and media buying. In addition, J. Walter Thompson submitted a bid for the company's national-media buying. The agency currently handles local buying for Domino's and ultimately could prompt the pizza company to split creative and placement if the Thompson bid warrants.
