Jason Chambless, pistolsmith of Springfield's custom shop, is now a member of the American Pistolsmiths Guild. The guild accepts only experienced pistolsmiths who exhibit specialized skills. Chambless, 26, has been employed by Springfield Armory for seven years. He is a skilled machinist and welder, specializing in mechanical troubleshooting and the finer aspects of the pistolsmithing craft.
