SUN WELDING

Sun Welding's safes offer four color choices and four interior configurations with certified fire protection up to 1,200 degrees for 30 minutes. The largest will accommodate more than 50 guns. Several factory options and upgrades are available.

TAURUS INTERNATIONAL

Integral to Taurus revolvers and pistols is the Taurus Security System. A small locking mechanism is located behind the trigger on revolvers and on the back strap of pistols. The lock is activated by a quarter turn of a special key. Introduced a few years ago, the Taurus system is now part of the company's entire pistol and revolver lines.

TRUCK VAULT

For the traveling outdoors person, the Truck Vault series of products can be the answer to secure firearms protection. There are versions for most trucks, vans, SUVs and automobile trunks that offer locking, carpeted spaces for guns, ammunition cameras and other valuables while on the road. Law enforcement and emergency crews will find units specifically designed for their needs, too.

Handguns and other valuables are easily stored and accessed in one of the VLine security cases. They are push-button locked, needing no keys, batteries or lights to quickly open. The cases and cabinets may be mounted or transported as needed. Several models for desks, walls or closet mounting are offered, including a new rifle or shotgun model.

V-LINE

W. WALLER & SON

The Waller Soft Safes are available for handguns and rifles. They are made of high buoyancy foam and will float with guns and ammunition inside. They meet federal requirements for transporting guns interstate.

ZIEGEL ENGINEERING

Ziegel Engineering offers literally hundreds of aluminum handgun, rifle shotgun, archery, camera, laptop computer and specialty cases to fit every need. If that isn't enough, the company will custom design and build whatever is needed. They are lockable and strong with foam interiors, resisting rough treatment by airlines and others.

SHOOTING SAFETY GEAR

AOSafety

Sight and hearing protection products are what the AOSafety company is about, featuring the Peltor line of ear muffs. From inexpensive foam plugs to sophisticated electronically operated, battery-powered shooting muffs, the idea is to reduce the damaging loud sounds while amplifying the lowest sound levels. Stereo microphones in the unit helps locate directional sounds. Several standard ear muffs are also in the line, as are safety shooting glasses with choices in lens colors.

BONNER TECHNOLOGIES GROUP (BTG)

Mega-Ears from BTG feature advanced electronics that reduce sounds above 92 dB, while amplifying softer sounds. Normal conversations are possible at the shooting range and the sounds of wild turkeys or elk may be heard from long distances. Furthermore, the Mega-Ears are stereophonic so the wearer can determine the direction of the sound. Each ear cup has its own volume control so people with unbalanced hearing abilities can compensate. Maga-Ears operate on two AA batteries with about 150 hours of operation.

ELECTRONIC SHOOTERS PROTECTION (ESP)
