Leica: Announces Appointment.

Leica Camera and its Minox subsidiary announced the appointment of David H. Brown as the companies' national sales manager for their sports optics divisions. Brown will oversee sales operations for all binoculars and sporting scopes that bear the Leica and Minox names.

A Colorado native, Brown brings to Leica 21 years of sport optics sales and marketing experience, which he acquired at Pentax. Currently enrolled in a business studies course at University of Colorado, Brown is a graduate of Oregon State University, as well as an avid hunter, birder and photographer.

Daisy

Names President and CEO

Ray Hobbs has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Daisy Outdoor Products by the company's board of directors. After spending 23 years with WalMart, where he started as an hourly associate before graduating to senior vice president of merchandising, Hobbs consulted businesses in Rogers, Ark.

Hobbs graduated from University of the Ozarks, serves on the advisory board for Arkansas' Children's Hospital, and is on the board of directors for the Arkansas Game & Fish foundation

Streamlight

Promotes Sales VP

Walter Kaihatu will manage sales of Streamlight's high-performance lights for both U.S. and Canadian markets. As vice president of sales, Kaihatu will work with directors of the law enforcement and sporting markets, and will continue as director of the industrial, safety and fire markets. A graduate of California State University, Kaihatu is a board member of the Industrial Supply Manufacturers Association, and a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California.

Sierra Bullets

Appoints Sales Manager

Betty Howard has been promoted to sales manager of Sierra Bullets. After spending three years in customer service, Howard will now oversee day-to-day contact with Sierra's wholesale distributors.
