Orlando, Fla., Police choose Crimson Trace - Industry Bulletin Board

Shooting Industry, Nov, 2002

The Orlando, Fla., Police Department authorized its 750 officers to use Lasergrips while on-duty. Housed in the grip, the laser system replaces the standard grips on the officers' SIG Sauer duty pistols. The testing process took 18 months.

According to Eric Clapsaddle, Orlando PD's Rangemaster, Lasergrips enhance training.

"Working with shooters is much easier," Clapsaddle said, "Qualification scores have doubled since we began incorporating Lasergrips into our training curriculum."
