Topic: RSS FeedIt's a duty and obligation; the president and CEO of Remington is committed to building a great team, serving the industry and remaining ever vigilant - An Interview with Tommy Millner
Shooting Industry, Dec, 2003 by Russ Thurman
Then I would challenge the industry to be even more aggressive in reaching out to new consumers, to build on the successes of youth hunting and shooting programs and programs designed to attract women. Equally important, we have to go address the growing minority populations in this country. The Hispanic segment of the population is rapidly growing and I suspect is a huge opportunity for us. If the litigation trends continue to be so favorable, the monies we've used to defend ourselves could be very well spent in developing new consumers for the industry that will ensure our growth and success in the future.
SI: What drives Tommy Millner, What is your passion?
Millner: I love more than anything, building a great team of people that has a shared vision about excellence as it relates to our company, and an unwavering dedication to making this not just a great company in our industry, but a world-class company. At this stage in my career, watching young men and women grow in our company is the most rewarding thing in the world. While financial return is nice, the most wonderful thing for me is seeing all of these great folks grow into business people in the finest sense of the word. That's what really get me up in the morning.
I'm so optimistic about the future of our industry and everything that we have been able accomplish as an industry under very difficult circumstances. It sure seems to me that the sun's up and a bright new day is ahead for all us.
