Trijicon founder dies in crash

Glyn Bindon, Trijicon's founder and chairman of the board, and inventor of many of the company's products, was killed Sept. 2, 2003, when his small plane crashed near Palmer, Ala.

Bindon first became involved with gunsights in 1981. In addition to founding and operating Trijicon for over 20 years. Bindon invented and patented the white outline iron sights, the ACOG line of riflescopes, the Reflex, the AccuPoint riflescope and the TriPower reflex sight.
