Taser approved for flights

Taser International Inc. announces the Transportation Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has approved a major international airline's application for the onboard use of Taser weapons by specially trained personnel on flights to and from the United States.

Taser also announced the Houston City Council approved and authorized a contract between Houston, Taser and GT Distributors Inc. for 3,700 X26 Taser devices and associated equipment for the Houston Police Department. This contract provides a maximum allotment of $4.7 million for Taser devices and accessories.
