The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has selected Cyndi Dalena to direct its shooting sports development programs. Dalena was promoted to her new position following a stint as national coordinator of NSSF's Step Outside program. She will now oversee the organization's Scholastic Clay Target program, Scholastic Rifle Program, and NSSF's involvement in the ESPN Great Outdoor Games.
"Cyndi did a great job with Step Outside. Her initiative, management skills, passion for hunting and target shooting, all uniquely qualify her to head our shooting sports development department," said Chris Dolnack, NSSF managing director, program development.
The NSSF has selected Melissa Schilling as its new Step Outside national coordinator. Before her promotion to the Step Outside role, Schilling served NSSF for two years in various responsibilities. She holds degrees in public relations and electronic communications from Marist College.
"She brings new perspectives and skill sets to Step Outside. Our partners and media friends will enjoy working with her, and I'm confident she'll build on the successes of her predecessor," said Jodi Valenta, director of NSSF's hunter recruitment and retention programs.
