Female hunting fashions get a boost from Beretta USA - Arms and the Woman

Shooting Industry, May, 2003 by Lisa Parsons-Wraith

Shooting wear for women that looks good and really fits a woman's body has proven more elusive than the game women hunt. When you mention women's shooting clothes to most female firearm enthusiasts, you are usually met with a roll of the eyes. This is accompanied by complaints about shopping in the boy's department of the local sporting goods store.

Women are quick to point out that they are shaped differently than men, and men's small just isn't small enough in some places or roomy enough in others. To the rescue comes Beretta with their line of Women's Upland Series clothing.

According to Joe Lampke, Beretta's apparel product manager, Beretta got into women's clothing because of the lack of competition in this area of the market.

"We took a look at the marketplace and there weren't many, if any, manufacturers doing anything for women," Lampke said. "In speaking to women, they said they were tired of shopping in the boy's department and wearing men's size small. They said, 'We want something for us."'

The Beretta Women's Upland Series is truly made for women and will make a fashion statement on the range or in the field.
