Gunslinger Corral adds safety and comfort - Arms and the Woman

Shooting Industry, May, 2003 by Lisa Parsons-Wraith

Sometimes little things can make or break a hunt, If your boots arc uncomfortable or your rifle sling digs into your shoulder, what should be a great day in the field can turn into a miserable event to be endured. Now, there's an answer to the problem of shoulder fatigue caused by slings: the Gunslinger Corral from New Frontier Products.

This is one of those, "Now, why didn't I think of that," gadgets that lady hunters won't be able to live without. The Gunslinger Corral is a unique, belt-mounted rifle holster that works in conjunction with just about any rifle (or shotgun) sling.

A woman begins by adjusting the Gunslinger Corral's belt to fit her waist. She then bends the Corral's adjustable support hook to fit her rifle or shotgun stock. Next, she mounts the holster in the midsection of the belt. A safety strap is then sized to the gun. The strap holds the stock securely in the holster while hiking in rough territory.

A final adjustment of the gun's sling, and lady hunters now have a secure, hands-free method of carrying their long gun that always keeps it pointed in a safe direction. Also, a backpack attachment works in a similar manner, but positions the gun more to the side of the body.

"Women are some of our best customers," said Mark Miller, owner and president of New Frontier Products. "They see the value of this right away."

Miller added that since women aren't bogged down by years of tradition, they are more open to trying a device that can make hunting easier and safer.

Miller suggested that to achieve the best fit, an average-size woman should adjust the belt to fit her waist for maximum comfort. He added, however, that woman who are of very small stature (5 feet, 5 inches or less), should wear the belt lower on her hips so she can more easily access the rifle.

That's the beauty of the Gunslinger Corral, it's completely adjustable. With practice, your customers should be able to quickly and easily access their rifle in seconds.

Products that make carrying a firearm safer are very important, and the Gunslinger Corral almost makes safety a non-issue. The trigger guard is protected by the hunter's back and the barrel of the firearm is always pointing up. This device also leaves your customer's hands free for scrabbling over rocks and it helps ease shoulder fatigue.

The Gunslinger Corral is one of those great gadgets your customers will thank you for encouraging them to purchase.
