Bear MGC Cutlery Inc. announced it has bought back all assets from Swiss Army Brands Inc., effective March 19, 2004. In addition, the company has changed its name to Bear and Son Cutlery Inc., with Matthew Griffey, son of company owners, Ken and Sandy Griffey, joining the family business as vice president of sales.
"Now, with all of our resources dedicated solely to the Bear and Son mission, we'll be able to return to our roots of innovation and knife design, and better serve our customers with exciting new products filling our pipeline--starting with Bear and Son's limited edition series of custom heritage knives," said Griffey.
