Federal's NWTF royalty hits five million rounds

Shooting Industry, June, 2007 by Tim Brandt

Federal Premium recently produced the five-millionth Mag-Shok NWTF turkey round. During the past seven years, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each box go directly to the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF).

"We're very proud to reach this milestone," said Bill Stevens, Federal Premium conservation manager. "It says a lot about our partnership with the NWTF. What they have done for the wild turkey is simply amazing. Without this great organization, who knows what the status of the turkey would be."

Thanks in large part to wildlife agencies and the NWTF and its partners, the wild turkey continues to be one of the greatest conservation stories in North America.

"Our on-box royalty program has gone very well, especially with the introduction of the loads featuring the FLITE-CONTROL wad," Stevens said. "Through this program and others like it, Federal Premium has remained committed to conservation."
