H&R Block loses - Letters to the Editor

Shooting Industry, July, 2002

Thanks for letting us know about how Handgun Control Inc. (HCI) forced H&R Block to drop its agreement with the NRA (Industry Watch, May 2002). Guess where I'll never have my taxes done? Guess what I'm telling everyone I know? HCI may have won this little battle, but it's going to cost H&R Block big.

As you said, H&R Block, by dropping the NRA, is promoting HCI's agenda. Well, H&R Block just gave up all those NRA-member customers and, hopefully, everyone in the gun industry. While we may not be as big as some groups, we do have power. Just ask Mr. Gore and the Democratic Party who aren't about to say anything anti-gun after what happened in 2000. They know we vote in big numbers.
