Missed gem

Shooting Industry, July, 2004

I think you pointed out some good products in Outdoor Marketplace in the May issue ("Gems You May Have Missed At SHOT Show 2004"). But you missed one I think should be getting a lot more write-ups in magazines.

It's the Magellan eXplorist GPS units. Of all the GPSs we've sold over the past few years, these are right at the top as being the best. And they don't cost a small fortune. The eXplorist 100 has a MSRP of only $99 and the highest costing model, the eXplorist 300, has a MSRP $199--and it has all the bells and whistles our customers want.

Selling them is easy, because so many of our customers want all the high-tech products that are on the market. I know this sounds like I work for Magellan, but I don't. I just like their products and the profits I make selling them.

Keep the information coming. I especially like to hear what other dealers are doing and how they sell different products.

We agree, the Magellan packs a lot of features and value into the eXplorist series. For more information on the eXplorist units and other Magellan products, call 1-800-255-2634 or visit the company's Web site: www.thalesnavigation.com.

Also, look for more high-tech product information and selling tips in our October 2004 issue. In addition, we'll keep the information coming. We, too, enjoy learning what dealers are doing to succeed in this tough marketplace.
