In 2003, FNH USA launched an aggressive program to capture more of the commercial market in the U.S.

"Many people don't know who FN is, unless they are in the U.S. military," said Rick DeMilt, director of law enforcement sales and marketing, at the 2003 SHOT Show. "There's no reason why we shouldn't be in the consumer marketplace. We have some of the finest products in the world."

FN USA's efforts to attract commercial gun dealers are paying off.

"We are making headway in 2005 with a mix of great new products, programs and the culmination of solid branding over the past few years," said Dave Golladay, of FNH USA.

The company has attracted a lot of gun dealers through special promotions, including one that runs through Aug. 31, 2005. Dealers who stock any FN Special Police Rifle, FN Patrol Bolt Rifle and FN Tactical Police Shotgun, along with any other three FN firearms, will receive a free FN Five-seveN USG 5.7X28mm pistol.
