Bushmaster Firearms International LLC has appointed retired Gen. Michael W. Hagee, USMC, to its board of directors. Hagee served as the Marine Corps' 33rd Commandant, retiring in January 2007 after 39 years of active service.
Hagee is a 1968 U.S. Naval Academy graduate. His personal decorations include the Legion of Merit with two Gold Stars and the Bronze Star with Combat "V."
"As we continue to grow and expand our product offerings and serve markets around the globe, Gen. Hagee's strategic experiences, leadership skills and wide-ranging expertise will help guide us as Bushmaster evolves to meet the needs of our customers worldwide," said John DeSantis, CEO.
Bushmaster also has named Mike Chamberlain to the newly created post of director of business development--Law Enforcement (L.E.) Group.
Chamberlain served more than 20 years with the Los Angeles Police Department and has 15 years of experience in L.E. industry development and sales.
Allan Thompson is Bushmaster's new director of business development--Military and Federal Agencies Group. He has 20 years of training and tactical experience with numerous individual weapons and less-lethal munitions systems. Prior to joining Bushmaster, Thompson served as Military and L.E. market specialist for Leupold and Stevens.
