Browning hits target with autoloader for women - Arms and the woman

Shooting Industry, Sept, 2003 by Lisa Parsons-Wraith

The Browning Gold series of shotguns is immensely popular with men and women shooters. The Gold Ladies Sporting Clays shows Browning really listened to women shooters and gave them what they wanted.

This autoloading shotgun was designed with input from top female shooters and features smaller overall dimensions. Some of the dimension changes are slight compared to the men's Gold Sporting Clays, but they can make all the difference to women shooters.

The overall length of the Gold Ladies is 47 3/4 inches and the length-of-pull is 13 1/4 inches, 1-inch shorter than the men's gun. The drop at comb is 1 1/4 inches and the drop at heel is 1 1/2 inches. The stock is designed with more mass to help reduce recoil. It's also adjustable so shooters can customize the comb over a 1/4-inch range (1/8-inch up or 1/8-inch down).

The Gold Ladies Sporting Clays other features include a walnut stock, ported barrel, chrome chambers, front HiViz ProComp sight and center sight bead. The gun is enormously popular with lady sporting clays enthusiasts.
