I currently own four Kimber 1911s: a Custom, two Pro Carrys and a Compact. The Compact is new. It would not feed reliably with the same ammunition that the other three ran without a hitch. I even tried Wilson magazines to no avail. I contacted Kimber, who suggested I send the gun back to them, which I did.
I received the gun back in less than 10 days with a new barrel and a polished breach face, at no charge. It runs fine now with either Kimber or Wilson magazines. I knew Kimber's product quality was very good and now I know they have great customer service. They take good care of their customers when the odd problem does arise.
