Congratulations are in order to the students who have won scholarships from the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW). This year, NASGW awarded 11 students $2,000 scholarships each to be used for educational expenses.
Those receiving scholarships and the sponsoring companies are: Amy Olson (ATK/Federal Cartridge), Haylee Glad (Baron Technology), Lucas Dean (CSI Sports LLC), Megan Else (Springfield Inc.), Chelsea Owens (Taurus International), Nicole Silva (Smith & Wesson), Kathryn Damian (Lew Horton Distributing Co.) Liam Quinn (Maurice Sporting Goods), Sarah Ashton-Szabo (Olin Corp.) Scott Emery (Hornady Manufacturing) and Justin Teague (Traditions Performance Firearms).
To be eligible for the NASGW scholarships, students must be children of full-time employees of firms that are members in good standing of NASGW. Since 1995, the program has awarded more than $170,000 in scholarships.
