Palmer Security Products
Offering an extensive line of specialty lockers, chests and even safes, PistolPAL from Palmet has several models to handle virtually every shooter's needs. From single and multiple handgun models using Simplex locks, to multiple-drawered "banks" of lockers for law enforcement use, the PistolPAL has welded steel construction, hard, scratch-resistant paint, foam padding, corrosion inhibitor, case-hardened dead bolts, and most have mounting holes and carrying handles.
Securecase Co.
Called a locking gun case and stationary safe by the company, the ARMLOC is made of Kevlar-hardened composite material and locks onto a bed frame or wall to prevent theft, but is also easily transportable. When the personalized combination lock is aligned, the case pops open quietly for access. A nice feature is the small light that illuminates the lock face for night-time operation. ARMLOC will hold a large and small handgun or two or three small handguns, depending upon their size. The Securecase Company maintains product liability insurance for the ARMLOC gun case, a real plus for the stocking dealer.
SAFES
Browning
The Pro-Steel safes from Browning are even safer for 1994 with the addition of the Uni-Force locking system. The system has multiple, independent locking bolt assemblies which, when attacked, are locked tight, preventing entry.
There are four safe series in the Browning Line. The New Platinum Series offers five models, the largest measuring 72x40x28 inches and five interior options. The New Gold and Medallion Series has five models with sizes ranging from 60x40x28 inches to 60x24x21 inches. The smallest Browning safe is in the New Sterling Series. Three models are featured with the smallest measuring 60x22x15 inches.
All Browning sales have heavy duty, bank-grade Group II combination locks with a spy proof shield, internal relocker and hardplate protection.
Cannon Safe Inc.
Cannon offers a complete line of safes and security chests. From table-top models for handguns and other valuables, to monster 84-gun versions in the Model 55, Cannon sales cover the needs of virtually every shooter. Its custom-designed interiors let you store firearms, jewelry and other valuables for that peace of mind that only a "real" safe can offer. Continuous safety hinges, recessed doors, two spring-loaded relocking devices to foil punching, optional electronic locks, large jeweler's lugs to prevent door removal and various interior choices are just some of the features from Cannon. Cannon also has the Quick Safe, a small Simplex-locked handgun box suitable for storing a firearm for home protection. Quick Safe is also available with a keyed lock.
Colt's Mfg. Co. Inc.
This gunmaker now has nine models of gun safes that offer security and fire protection for shooters. They are available in double-wall and quad-wall fire protection models, have Sargent and Greenleaf combination locks, drill-resistant hard plate and multiple relockers for maximum security. The custom features available are extensive and range from unique interior designs with plush carpet, to gold-plated handles and dials. Standard colors include burgundy, classic black, forest green and midnight blue. Standard interior colors include beige and silver.
