Browning unveils WSSF shotgun, Coronado's slim purse holster perfect, attractive

Shooting Industry, March, 1995 by Lisa Parsons

Browning's Women Shooting Sports Foundation (WSSF) shotgun production model was on display in the Browning booth and the earlier prototype model was a highlight of the WSSF booth, allowing for some great comparisons. The prototype model is a heavier and longer gun, while the production model is a lighter and easier-to-handle adaptation based on Browning's 425 Sporting Clays Shotgun. Handling both really showed the changes a product can go through from conception to completion. The teal with silver trim WSSF shotgun should be available in limited quantities by late April or early May. According to the Browning staff, the gun will also be manufactured in standard wood for men and women who prefer the more traditional look.

Women who crave a purse holster smaller than the average suitcase will want to check out Coronado Leather's C20 purse. Measuring 12-by-7 inches and a slim 2 inches thick, this soft leather purse has a full-length front compartment under a leather-lined flap with two smaller interior compartments. The holster portion is a full-length pouch lined with Velcro[TM] on the outside portion of the purse closest to a woman's body. The compartment is large enough for a compact 9mm. The thick shoulder strap helps distribute the weight of the gun, yet is still attractive. For the woman who likes to carry keys, lipstick, checkbook and a gun, this is the perfect purse.
