NCCLS name change. As of Jan. 1, 2005, the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS) will be known as the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI). The organization will continue in its function as a proponent of voluntary consensus standards in the global healthcare community.
