The Hardy Q-Slide is a convenient ready-to-stain control that tests both stain solutions and staining techniques. Positive and negative stain control organisms are affixed to the circles in each Q-Slide. Up to four patient specimens (in the squares) may be processed at the same time as the QC organisms. Two versions of the slide are currently available--Q-Slide AFB (acid fast bacillus stain QC) and Q-Slide Gram for gram stain.
