Safely view samples

Medical Laboratory Observer, March, 2007

Specially designed for the centrifugation of biohazardous samples, potentially airborne pathogens, bacteria, and radioactively labeled material, Clear-Spin Models 10K and 12K feature a see-through polycarbonate observation window and strobe light (activated at speeds of 200 rpm or more) allowing viewing of samples as they spin. This feature allows the user to safely view whether a tube leaks or ruptures during centrifugation, helping eliminate the risk of a potentially hazardous situation. The Clear-Spin models are easy to load and unload, have a pulse feature for short runs, accommodate microcentrifuge tubes up to 2.2 mL, and have a maximum RCF speed of 14,500 X g.
