Laser blood sampler licenses patent from BD - Industry Watch - Brief Article

> Cell Robotics International Inc., Albuquerque, NM, has extended its intellectual property coverage of the Lasette product line by licensing a key patent from RD (formerly Becton, Dickinson, and Company) of Franklin Lakes, NJ. Specific terms and conditions of the agreement were not disclosed. The handheld Lasette is the only FDA-cleared medical device that uses a special wavelength of laser light to obtain a capillary blood sample used for glucose readings and clinical blood screening tests.
