Research award. In an effort to encourage innovative research in cytopathology, the ASC Foundation will present up to three Cytopathology Research Seed Award grants to member cytopathologists who have been practicing for a maximum of five years since concluding residency training. The awards, worth $5,000 each, will be presented to applicants whose proposed research plans employ novel ideas and methods. Recipients will present their research data at the ASC's 54th Annual Scientific Meeting, to be held Nov. 3-8, 2006, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
