Clostridium difficile detection

Medical Laboratory Observer, Sept, 2004

For the detection of Clostridium difficile Toxin A B, the Gastro-Tect ELISA kit has a 30-minute incubation period at room temperature, requires no shaker or sealing tape, and has a 60-minute "can-be-read" time after the addition of the stop solution. Results can be read visually or with a dual-wave reader at 450 nm to 620 nm.
