Small World competition celebrates art of science

Medical Laboratory Observer, Sept, 2004

Small World Competition celebrates art of science. In late July, a collection of renowned scientists, researchers, and academics assembled at Nikon Instruments' United States headquarters in Long Island, NY, to judge the 30th Nikon International Small World Microscopy Competition. The competition attracts submissions from amateurs and professionals around the world, demonstrating excellence in photography through microscopes and photomicrography.

The competition was founded in 1974 to recognize excellence in photography through the microscope. For more information about Small World, or to view a gallery of winning photos, visit Nikon's website at www.nikonusa.com.
