Questar Pipeline Company held an open season, Aug. 27-Sept. 16 to determine the feasibility of expanding its Northern System in order to increase gas deliveries to the Kern River Pipeline.
Kern River, which runs from southwestern Wyoming to Southern California, is currently being expanded to increase capacity by more than 1 MMcf/d. Questar's proposed expansion would provide interested shippers the opportunity to deliver an added 150,000 Dth/d to Kern River.

Plans also call for Questar to provide access to Kern River through an existing interconnection at Muddy Creek or a new interconnection at the Opal Processing Plant in Lincoln.
