Gulf Interstate Engineering of Houston has formed a jointly owned company with Indian based Larsen & Toubro (L&T) called L&T-Gulf Pipeline Engineering Private Limited. The new company will provide end-to-end engineering and project management services to the hydrocarbon pipeline industry in India and worldwide.

The company will be located in L&T's engineering center in the northern Indian city of Faridabad. Among other achievements, L&T built the world's longest LPG pipeline in India.
