Nepal decides to develop pipeline

Pipeline & Gas Journal, May, 2007

Nepal has decided to build the Nepal--India pipeline on its own, rather than in a joint venture with Indian Oil Corporation. A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) and IOC stipulating that NOC would build the pipeline and IOC would provide technical assistance.

The 40-km pipeline is expected to cost between $US13-15 million depending on whether it has an 8- or 10-inch diameter.
