Phoenix contact

Pipeline & Gas Journal, May, 2008

Phoenix Contact is offering the RAD-80211-XD-BUS, a wireless Ethernet radio with modular I/O and firmware capabilities. The radio is said to combine truly secure wireless communication with control of up to eight I/O modules. Up to 64 digital, analog and pulse I/O can be interfaced directly to the radio. This flexibility is said to save installed cost for distributed Ethernet wireless I/O monitoring and control applications. The I/O modules can be addressed via Modbus TCP or legacy serial Modbus RTU over the 802.11 network. This allows a standard solution for facilities undergoing incremental upgrades. 800-322-3225, www.phoenixcon.com.
