IEA makes biggest downward demand revision since 2001

The International Energy Agency recently made its biggest downward revision in its forecast for global oil demand in seven years. However, the agency noted conservation measures are unlikely to bring down the record high prices for oil because demand is growing fast enough in China, India and other emerging markets to offset a slowdown in U.S. and European demand growth.
